What Does Each Attribute Point Buy?
A stat point in Hero Siege is a purchase, and most players spend it blind. The table below is the documented price list — each line is what one point deposits into your character — so deciding where points go stops being folklore and becomes arithmetic.
| Attribute | Documented per-point effect |
|---|---|
| Strength | +1% attack damage, +1 added physical damage |
| Dexterity | +8 attack rating, +0.125% critical damage |
| Intelligence | +1% magic skill damage |
| Energy | +4 maximum mana, improved base mana regeneration |
| Armor | +5 defense; physical damage taken −0.25%, with diminishing returns past 25% reduction |
| Vitality | +6.5 life per official documentation — but see the dispute below |
The Vitality row deserves its own paragraph, because it is the one number the community never agreed on. Official documentation records +6.5 life per point; long-standing community sources record +5. Both circulate, no patch note has publicly settled the disagreement, and the gap is large enough to matter on a health-focused build. The honest position: this stat’s documentation is split and patch-sensitive — read your own health bar before and after a point, and trust what you see.
Which Points Are Worth Taking, Then?
The table answers what a point buys; it cannot answer what you should buy, because that depends on what your skills scale with — and Hero Siege’s skills scale off different attributes by design. A fire kit reads Intelligence; a bow kit reads Dexterity for accuracy and Strength for the physical line; some classes split routes entirely. The clearest example is the Nomad, whose damage skills divide between a Strength-scaled physical route and an Energy-scaled magic route — one character, two genuinely different builds.
So the working method: open your skill details, find what each damage skill actually reads, then spend points there. Everything else is decoration.
What Is the “All Talents” Affix?
You will see All Talents on items, and it does what it says: it raises the level of every talent you have already allocated points into. That makes it unusual among affixes — it multiplies a choice you made rather than adding a new one, which is why it tends to appear on build-defining gear. The same gear-side logic continues one step up the power ladder: augments pile further investment onto a finished piece instead of replacing it.
Why Does Gear Beat Raw Points?
Ask endgame players where their power comes from and the answer is a gear list, not a stat sheet. The community consensus is blunt: equipment affixes dwarf raw attributes once you are past the campaign. A point buys +1% of one thing; an affix line buys many times that, plus effects no attribute offers at all.
Two practical consequences follow:
- Do not agonize over early points. They are real but small; the beginner guide has bigger priorities for your first hours — campaign progress and stash habits.
- Do agonize over gear sources. Rerolling affixes on a good base is where builds actually get made — the crafting guide covers the cube that does it, and league starter builds show what a gear-first plan looks like from day one.
Attributes FAQ
Do attributes matter more than gear?
No — the opposite, past the early game. Raw points produce small, linear, documented effects; gear affixes produce large ones plus unique effects. Points matter most when they feed skills that multiply them, which is exactly why checking skill scaling comes before any allocation plan.
What is the difference between Strength and Intelligence?
Strength feeds the physical side: +1% attack damage and +1 flat physical damage per point. Intelligence feeds magic skills at +1% per point. Which of the two matters to your build is decided by your skills’ scaling, not by your class’s weapon.
Does Armor keep getting better the more you stack it?
Slower and slower. Each point adds 5 defense and reduces physical damage taken by 0.25%, but the reduction follows diminishing returns after you pass 25% — stacking past that buys progressively less mitigation per point than the first investments did.
